Ali Yorkos joined the IR Office as Coordinator of Computer Applications in November, 2005. His journey at UCF began working as a Parking Patroller for the UCF Police Department in 1997. After completing his master's degree and working as a Computer/Programmer Analyst in the private sector for a year, he joined the UCF Registrar's Office as a Sr. Computer Programmer/Analyst where he was responsible for design and development of all database applications and ad-hoc reports. Ali worked in various companies overseas during his bachelor's degree. He is originally from Istanbul, Turkey. Currently Ali's position title is that of Database Analyst/Programmer.

Position Specifications
  • Responsible for design, development, implementation, integration, documentation, and maintenance of computer application systems as related to IR reporting and all official University reporting using the University data warehouse.
  • Work as part of a 4-person programming team to develop the data warehouse and various reporting options utilizing software including SAS Enterprise ETL Server and SAS Enterprise BI Server v.9.1.3
  • Make use of various software and programming techniques to develop and maintain applications. Tools include, but are not limited to, SAS, PeopleSoft, MS Access, MS Excel, ASP, etc.
  • Analyze the current use and understanding of computer application systems in IR and develop any additional documentation or procedures needed to ensure their proper use.
  • Interpret departmental rules and policies related to IR and University information systems for recommending new and improved programs to effectively manage the information systems functions.
  • Assist with development and maintenance of State Division of College and University reports.
  • Design and conduct special studies to collect and analyze data in the assigned areas of information systems as needed.
