Angel joined the IR staff in a full-time position as Coordinator, Computer Applications, August, 2001. She has been with UCF since 1998 as an undergraduate research assistant, graduate teaching assistant, and data mining laboratory manager within the Department of Statistics and as a graduate research assistant and SAS programmer part-time with Institutional Research. Currently Angel's position title is Database Analyst/Programmer-Senior.

Position Specifications

  • Responsible for design, development, implementation, integration, documentation, and maintenance of computer application systems as related to IR reporting and all official university reporting using both the university's legacy database and the new Student Information System (PeopleSoft) and integrating the two systems as needed.
  • Work as a team member to develop integrated data systems, including dynamic access to data via web technologies and an enterprise data warehouse using SAS and other software products.
  • Work with departments to insure information systems needs are being met. This includes understanding the business process in the department and developing recommendations for improving efficiency and productivity using university computing resources.
  • Design and conduct special studies in the assigned areas of information systems as needed.
  • Collect and analyze data as appropriate.
  • Provide statistical support as needed.
