Derek Green is a Coordinator of Statistical Research for the Office of Institutional Research, as of March 16, 2001. Before relocating to Central Florida, he was Coordinator of Evaluation in the Department of Education in Canada's Northwest Territories. He has also worked in advertising and test publishing in New York City.

Position Specifications

  • Collect and compile data for use in official internal and external reporting.
  • Assist Coordinators of Statistical Research in preparing university data files for submission to the Board of Regents and completing external surveys (Common Data Set, IPEDS, U.S. News and World Report, etc.) and offer assistance to the offices of Operational Excellence and Assessment Support and University Analysis and Planning Support as needed.
  • Work with administrative and academic departments to facilitate and design reports related to university data that support strategic decision-making.
  • Provide statistical expertise to faculty and/or staff as needed or required.
  • Conduct literature reviews (including web-related research), write research and technical reports and make recommendations as appropriate.
