Maureen Murray joined the IR Office as Coordinator of Computer Applications in November, 2005. She brings nearly 25 years of experience in a broad variety of computing languages. Maureen spent 8 years in UCF Computer Services focusing on the Student Records, Student Financials and Financial Aid modules. She has successfully navigated the initial PeopleSoft implementation and one full-scale conversion. Throughout the years she has supported Medical Center, private industry software development, School Library and University Administration systems. Currently Maureen's position title is that of Database Analyst/Programmer.

Position Specifications
  • Responsible for design, development, implementation, integration, documentation, and maintenance of computer application systems as related to IR reporting and all official University reporting using the Student Information System (PeopleSoft).
  • Utilize various software and programming techniques to develop and maintain applications. Tools include, but are not limited to, SAS, PeopleSoft, SQL, DB2, MS Access, MS Excel, ASP, etc.
  • Work as a team member to develop integrated data systems, including dynamic access to data via web technologies and an enterprise data warehouse.
  • Work with departments to insure information systems needs are being met. This includes understanding the business process in the department and developing recommendations for improving efficiency and productivity using University computing resources.
  • Assist with development and maintenance of State Division of College and University reports.
  • Interpret departmental rules and policies related to IR and University information systems for recommending new and improved programs to effectively manage the information systems functions.
  • Analyze the current use and understanding of computer application systems in IR and develop any additional documentation or procedures needed to ensure their proper use.
  • Design and conduct special studies to collect and analyze data in the assigned areas of information systems as needed.
